The Couple Got Hitched Perfectly at a Grand Destination Wedding in Srilanka.
When people see them first they think its a “Love Marriage” but it’s not, it’s an Indian Arrange Marriage where the first meeting was awkward, silent and strange. But they knew this could be something. There was some magic the universe was doing to bring these two wonderful souls together.
“We started talking on the phone, and I guess, it all began from there. When we finally met again, we realized that we shared a special connection. Soon we knew that we were meant to be together and wanted to get married.”
If I have to describe their love story in one sentence “They fall in love when it wasn’t supposed to be….”
They wanted to make the biggest celebration of their life memorable to not only them but to all the guests who were present to bless the couple. Therefore they chose a very different venue that promised luxury as well as the beauty of nature.
This is when they came across the Shangri-La Hambantota Resort and Spa and found it to be a perfect place to host their grand destination wedding in Srilanka.
Like every other wedding, theirs also started with a Mehendi ceremony on the huge, green and beautiful lawns of the resort. There were colorful drapes everywhere with skits and games to keep the guest engaged. This day event was followed by a magical Disney Land party with Mickey, Miney, Castle, Chariot, beautiful backdrops, rainbow colors and all the other fancy stuff that we only get to see in Disney Movies.
The wedding was a perfect blend of different cultures and traditions. Their Ring Ceremony was a “Christian Wedding” theme party where you can see Lov wearing a tuxedo and Disha looking absolutely outstanding in a beautiful pink gown and a silver Tiara which was like the cherry on the cake. Our destination photographer very well captured Disha waking the Aisle with her father it was truly mesmerizing. They had everything a Christian wedding theme needs- the outfits, the cake, the decor almost everything.
How can a destination wedding complete without Pool Party? There were hookahs, cocktails, music, dance, water. From oldies to kids you can see everyone enjoying the Pool party.
Attention..!!Time for the Musical night. It was a Bajirao Mastani themed Sangeet and the make-up artist left no stone unturned to make Disha look like “Mastani”. In her golden Anarkali outfit designed by Mayyur Girotra, she really gave a tough competition to our original Mastani Deepika Padukone. The decor was magnificent, grand and was inspired by Mughal Architecture. There were some amazing performances by friends and family and the presence of celebrities made the function even more special for Love and Disha.
Now was the time for the most awaited ceremony Pheras. The Pheras where they promised to love each other till eternity and beyond. The Phera ceremony was hosted on the beach. This was like a dream coming true for them. The beautifully decorated mandap with the never-ending sea was the highlight of the ceremony of course besides the bride and the groom. Lov wore an off-white Sherwani while Disha looked like a perfect Indian bride in her red lehenga designed by Sabya Sachi.
Their Reception had all the elements of entertainment. There were dancers, acrobats, music, dance and of course Arman Malik. He spread love everywhere with his Romantic songs and melodious voice. Love and Disha looked stunning in their color-coordinated outfit for the function.
